We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic fundraiser to assist with producing events from conception through to completion. Event coordinator responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations.


  • Assist with planning and executing Foundation special events, promotions and ceremonies
  • Duties include, but are not limited to: in-kind requests, vendor orders, volunteer management, data entry, updating/creating graphics and print collateral, permit requests, managing auctions (including mobile bidding software), raffle management, third party group management, operating various software programs, maintaining all documents and files properly
  • Oversees the cultivation and recruitment of event participants, attendees, teams, donors and prospects
  • Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize events
  • Assists with managing on-site production of major events

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in event planning or fundraising; non-profit experience preferred
  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Computer expertise includes: Microsoft Word, Excel, mail merges, graphic design programs
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter and is able to function as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills and speaking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and on the phone, with high professionalism
  • Fantastic customer service and high expectations for quality
  • Ability to understand and articulate Hospice programs

Preferred Skills:

  • Computer expertise including: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop experience, Raiser's Edge & Luminate
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments at one time, discern work priorities and meet deadlines
