Sunday, 10am-6pm.  Plus (2) additional shifts during the week, 10am-6pm.  

Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other edible items for consumption. Prepares recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils. Estimates food inventory requirements. Orders food from suppliers and/or procures food from storage. Completes food logs and production records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patient food including any special dietary restrictions; delivers meal carts to units.
  • Prepares food for Bistro and catering requests; assists with set up and delivery of catered meals.
  • Responsible for proper sanitation and safety standards regarding the preparation, cooking and production line stages of food preparation.
  • Maintains cleanliness of food service areas including washing pots and pans, sweeping and mopping floors, removing garbage, etc.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience required;

Culinary education preferred. Previous experience with institutional and/or commercial food preparation.
