Evening Shift Differential $5/hour

Weekend Shift Differential $2/hourThe majority of our patients prefer to receive hospice and palliative care in their home environment to maintain their independence and live their lives to the best of their ability. Symptoms are managed so that the patient can live a full life with the support of family and friends and the comforts of home.

In this position you will  perform comprehensive assessments to identify all physical, psychosocial, environmental, safety, emotional and spiritual needs related to the terminal illness that must be addressed in order to promote the patient's well-being, comfort, and dignity throughout the dying process and documents findings on all appropriate forms and on the plan of care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Certification

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of New York.
  • Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing encouraged/preferred.
  • New York State Driver's License, free from serious violations, and vehicle required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience required; however, one year of practice as a Professional nurse with additional education and/or health related experience may be considered.
