Days with weekend, holiday, and on call rotation. 

The majority of our patients prefer to receive hospice and palliative care at home to maintain their independence and live their lives to the best of their ability. Symptoms are managed so that the patient can live a full life with the support of family and friends and the comforts of home.

A Hospice Chaplain provides quality pastoral care/guidance for spiritual and emotional needs of patients, families, and staff. Participates in and conducts worship, including various ceremonies/rituals, during visits to new patients and follow up visits, as requested. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team of care givers within HBI/CHPC network.

Education / Certification

Masters of Divinity degree.

Two (2) units of clinical pastoral education (CPE) or equivalent is required.

Valid Driver's License and vehicle required for use when on duty or on-call.



Two (2) years of experience working in pastoral care, specifically with terminally ill patients.
