The Business Analyst will be part of on-going efforts to continuously improve all company-critical business processes through the use of data analytics and data mining. The analyst will be responsible for effective functioning of application and data related initiatives that are keys to the success of clinical and non-clinical operational services. With a strong ability to interpret functional and non-functional requirements on matters such as data analysis, process efficiency, etc., the Business Analyst will help identify opportunities to automate or modify activities or procedures to increase efficiency while adhering to applicable regulations, quality improvement and corporate compliance policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with managers and employees to develop a high quality understanding of the departmental/organizational reporting requirements and interfaces with various teams to ensure high quality results are delivered to the patients and families.
  • Design and build various MIS reports and ensure the managers have what they need to run their respective areas while maintaining consistency of MIS across risk and operational services.
  • Responsible to understand and analyze company wide data and make appropriate recommendation to achieve business objectives.
  • Responsible to optimize underlying models/rules/strategies using data mining and data analytics tools to improve current reporting and operational efficiency, minimize losses, and identify trends and patterns that require additional controls.
  • Participate in the design, implementation and validation of data mapping requirements.
  • Use multiple data analytics and data mining tools to write complex queries pulling data from a wide spectrum of applications to provide on demand data intelligence.
  • Work closely with operation leaders to determine requirements, perform gap analysis on existing reports, configuration or processes and identify recommendation to improve overall efficiency.
  • Maintain the documentation of all procedures and methodology related to data analytics, optimization, collection strategies.

Education / Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT/Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or related field.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in an analyst role with relational database experience such as SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access, etc.
  • At least 3 years of hand on experience on Reporting/Data Analytics/Business Intelligence/Visual Analytics tools such as MSSMS, Crystal Reports, TIBCO Spotfire, Qlikview and Power BI.
